First the installer will inspect the project area and then do the pool fence layout . Using
custom made templates so as to enable the installer to make the precise line and
shape of the pool fence. The gate placement is the most important component of the
pool fence layout, this is usually done in conjunction with where the steps are located to
enter the pool, but not always. Because the gate entrance is such a high traffic area you
may choose to place your gate in another area such as away from your entertaining
area or lounging area.
Next, using a grease pencil the installer will lay down the final marks
that will be cored out to create the holes that eventually hold the pool
fence poles. Once the holes have been cut and the cores removed the
installer will clear out any debris that was left behind by the coring
machine leaving a clean cored hole in which to place the deck sleeves.
The area is then washed and swept clean of any coring debris such as
sand ,dirt or small pieces of the core. Then using a large rubber mallet
the sleeves are inserted into the holes and seated into place
Now the pool fence is ready to be set into place. The installer will inspect each pole
as well as the weave of each panel to make sure that only the finest fence will be
used in your installation. Next the installer will check the leans and angles of the
pool fence making the necessary adjustments to insure that the tension will be
adequate. Before each pool fence section can be connected to each other the gate
must be assembled and installed .Once the gate has been installed the installer will
then connect all of the sections of fence making sure once again that the angles
and leans that will shape the final line of the pool fence are correct. the pool fence
area will then be inspected and if necessary policed of all debris and given one
more final wash and sweep to insure a great looking Lifepreserver pool fence!
EXTRAS ; In some cases an installation may require a special custom made
section of pool fence The fabrication of such a piece is made on site. It requires
that the installer determine the measurement for the piece and then layout the
material to cut, in most cases this will require the installer to remove a pole or
two so as to be able to make the cut and then the material will need to be
repositioned back on to the poles and remounted using the coving strips so as
to insure and clean professional custom made section. These custom sections
are most commonly used on steps and retaining walls and garden areas.
Garden and dirt areas usually require cement footings or garden wall mounts. A
cement footing is done as follows; depending on the ground condition In most cases a
post hole digger may be used for the initial hole approximately 17 inches deep and
about 6 inches in diameter After which the installer will then hand core out the bottom
of the hole to be about 10 inches in diameter. The propose of this is that the wider
base will not be able to be pulled out or dislodged. Then a galvanized steel pipe is
hammered into place and the proper lean and angle is applied, then the quick drying
cement is poured into the hole after which the pole sleeve is inserted into the pipe.
